The popular Nepali TV series Sakkigo Ni has been off-air for the past three months. The show came to a halt soon after the release of Laaj Sharanam, a film created by the same team of actors involved in the series.
Viewers Eager for a Comeback
Since then, even the show’s actors aren’t sure whether Sakkigo Ni will return or not. However, loyal fans are still hoping for its comeback. Before the release of Laaj Sharanam, the cast had promised during an interview that they would continue working on both the series and the film side by side.
Promises Broken After Film Release
Unfortunately, after the film’s release, that promise wasn’t kept. Recently, director JIGRI Bro and actor Bale returned from a trip to the US, and the producers of Laaj Sharanam have already announced plans for a sequel.
What Arjun Ghimire (Pade) Says
One of the lead figures behind Sakkigo Ni, Arjun Ghimire (aka Pade), spoke to the media about the show’s future. When asked if the series will ever return, he responded that it depends entirely on the interest and support from TV channels and advertising agencies.
“It’s not just about our wish. Unless TV networks and ad agencies show interest, it’s not possible,” he said. “Both need to be able to afford and commit to the project.”
However, Ghimire also added that the team is ready to bring the show back if they receive the necessary support.
YouTube May Be the Backup Plan
Pade expressed that viewers still enjoy the series and that it shouldn’t be permanently stopped.
“If nothing else, we’ll bring it back through YouTube,” he assured.
As for the upcoming sequel of Laaj Sharanam, he claimed to have no knowledge about it yet.
