A young man was found dead in a field in Rupatar, Pakhribas Municipality-5, Dhankuta.
The body has been identified as 27-year-old Sagar Thapa from Arun Rural Municipality-7 in Bhojpur. According to police, he had returned from his maternal home in Jhapa last Monday, but never reached his residence.
His father found him lying face-down and unresponsive in a field in Rupatar on Tuesday evening while searching for him.
District Police spokesperson DSP Om Prakash Khanal said an investigation is underway. The body has been sent to Dhankuta District Hospital for post-mortem.
