A 41-year-old man, Deepak Chand, died after being hit by a jeep in Daiji Bazaar, Bedkot Municipality-3, Kanchanpur.
The accident occurred on Tuesday night when a jeep coming from the opposite direction struck Chand’s motorcycle. He was seriously injured and died during treatment at Mahakali Provincial Hospital.
According to District Police Office spokesperson DSP Sagar Bohora, both the jeep and its driver have been taken into custody.
Chand was a resident of Goberiya in Bhimdatta Municipality-4 and had been running a hardware shop in Daiji.
