South Korean actress Lee Seo Yi, has tragically passed away at the age of 43. The heartbreaking news was shared on July 1 through her official social media account by someone believed to be her manager. According to the post, the actress died on June 20. However, no details regarding the cause of her death have been made public.
Lee Seo Yi began her acting journey in 2013 with her debut in MBC’s historical drama Hur Jun, The Original Story. Over the years, she made a mark in the industry with memorable roles in SBS’s Cheongdam-dong Scandal (2014) and films like The King and Killing Romance, where she was praised for her emotional depth and unique on-screen presence.
Outside of acting, Lee was also academically gifted. She earned her degree in Czech and Slovak studies from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and later pursued graduate studies at Pusan National University.
