The excitement surrounding Akhanda 2, the much-awaited sequel to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s blockbuster film Akhanda, continues to soar. In a major casting announcement, the makers have revealed that Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame Harshaali Malhotra has been roped in to play the role of Janani in the film.

Harshaali’s first look as Janani was unveiled on social media, and fans are absolutely loving it. Dressed in a vibrant yellow traditional outfit, Harshaali’s radiant smile and graceful appearance have left netizens in awe. The caption shared by the team read:

A Powerful Sequel in the Making
Helmed by director Gopichand Malineni, Akhanda 2 is slated for a grand theatrical release on September 25, 2025, coinciding with Dussehra. The film is expected to be a high-octane entertainer with powerful performances and an intense storyline. Music composer Thaman has also been receiving praise for his work on the film’s background score, with the teaser being described as “pure rage.”

Harshaali Malhotra rose to fame as the endearing ‘Munni’ in Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), a performance that won hearts across the nation.
