ZiYu Confronts Sasaengs in Beijing Chase: “You Guys Are Really Shameless!”

Chinese actor and rising idol ZiYu found himself at the center of a troubling incident involving sasaeng fans after returning to Beijing this week. The Revenged Love (逆爱) star was reportedly followed by obsessive fans upon arrival, prompting a tense confrontation that has since gone viral on Chinese social media platforms.

According to multiple eyewitness accounts and trending Weibo posts, ZiYu noticed several individuals tailing him from the airport. Rather than ignoring the situation, the actor turned and began chasing after the fans while filming them with his phone. Despite his visible frustration and direct action, the sasaengs reportedly refused to leave.

In a video clip circulating online, ZiYu is heard shouting at the followers, “You guys are really shameless,” expressing his anger over the repeated invasions of his privacy.

Fans on social media praised ZiYu for standing up to the harassment. “He did what most celebrities wish they could do. Enough is enough,” one Weibo user commented. Another wrote, “It’s not just about fame anymore. This is stalking, and it’s dangerous.”

Some reports indicate that police were contacted following the incident, though there has been no official confirmation regarding any legal action taken.

The incident highlights the growing concern surrounding sasaeng behavior in the Chinese and Korean entertainment industries. Sasaengs, a term used to describe obsessive fans who invade celebrities’ personal lives, have long been criticized for crossing ethical and legal boundaries in pursuit of proximity to their idols.

ZiYu, who gained widespread recognition for his role in the popular BL drama Revenged Love, has maintained a relatively low profile off-screen. This outburst marks a rare moment of public confrontation from the actor, further sparking discussions about the need for stronger protections and boundaries between artists and their fans.

As of now, ZiYu has not released an official statement, but the viral video has drawn overwhelming support from netizens and fellow entertainers alike.
