Rookie girl group ILLIT has once again shown their huge popularity, this time in Japan. BELIFT LAB announced on July 8th KST that all general seating tickets for ‘2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN’—called ‘GLITTER DAY’—have completely sold out. The concerts will be held four times: August 10th and 11th at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa, and September 3rd and 4th at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka.

What’s impressive is that ILLIT sold out all the fan concert tickets in Japan even though they have not yet released an official Japanese album. Because of high demand, extra restricted-view and standing tickets will be available through Lawson Ticket starting July 9th at 8 PM (JST).

This success follows their Seoul ‘GLITTER DAY’ concerts, which also sold out in advance last month at Olympic Park on July 7th and 8th.

ILLIT’s popularity in Japan is also clear from music charts. Their first original Japanese single, Almond Chocolate, released in February, surpassed 50 million streams on Oricon by July 7th. It became the most-streamed song by an international female artist in Japan during the first half of 2025. It is also the only K-pop group song to enter Amazon Music Japan’s Top 50 Overall Mid-Year Chart.

ILLIT is the only K-pop act to have two songs—“Magnetic” and “Almond Chocolate”—on the mid-year charts from Billboard Japan and Rakuten Music.

Their latest mini album bomb, released on June 16th, was a huge hit with Japanese fans. It sold more copies in the first day than their previous album did in its first week and quickly reached number one on major album charts like Oricon and Billboard Japan.
