How was her death discovered?
Humaira Asghar Ali lifeless body was discovered after neighbours reported a strong smell coming from her apartment. The call to police was made around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. When authorities broke down the door, they found her body in a severely decomposed state.
Police investigation and legal troubles
Police confirmed that she had not paid her rent since 2024 and had been ordered by the court to vacate the flat. However, the cause of her death remains unknown.
Her body has been sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a postmortem. Dr. Summaiya Syed stated that the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition. The exact cause of death will only be known after further chemical testing.
