To celebrate the 10th anniversary of a film that redefined Indian cinema, director SS Rajamouli has made a major announcement. On July 10, 2025, he revealed that Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) will return to theatres as one combined cinematic experience titled Baahubali: The Epic.
Sharing a poster featuring lead actor Prabhas, Rajamouli posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Baahubali…The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. It’s been 10 years. Marking this special milestone with #BaahubaliTheEpic, a two-part combined film. In theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025.”
The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. Fans are thrilled about the trimmed, unified version and shared their excitement online, calling it “a masterpiece that changed Indian cinema.”
Some fans also asked why the film won’t be available in Kannada and requested updates on Rajamouli’s upcoming project SSMB 29 starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Baahubali: The Epic will retell the full story of Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali’s legacy — from discovering hidden truths to reclaiming the throne.
The original two films were box office giants. According to Sacnilk, Baahubali earned ₹650 crore globally, while Baahubali 2 collected an enormous ₹1788.06 crore, making it the third-highest-grossing Indian film after Dangal and Pushpa 2: The Rule.
As Rajamouli revisits his magnum opus in a new form, it may inspire other directors to rethink and revive their franchises for new audiences.
