A police helicopter in Malaysia crashed directly into a river during an emergency landing in Johor state on Wednesday morning. The incident took place in the Sungai Pulai area, according to reports from local news agencies.
The helicopter was on a routine military training exercise when it faced technical problems, forcing the pilot to attempt an emergency landing — which unfortunately ended with the aircraft crashing into the river.
Despite the scary crash, all five crew members aboard the helicopter were safely rescued. Emergency teams acted quickly and transported them to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru for treatment.

Officials say that none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
Malaysia‘s Civil Aviation Authority (CAAM) has confirmed the crash and said that the Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will investigate the incident to determine what went wrong.
The helicopter involved was a 30-year-old Airbus AS355N model, commonly used for surveillance and patrol duties.
This incident has raised questions about the maintenance and safety of aging helicopters used in active service. While no lives were lost, the emergency has once again highlighted the risks involved in aerial training and emergency response operations.
Authorities are expected to review safety protocols following the incident.
