Pickup-Motorcycle Collision Injures 5 in Sarlahi, One Critically Burned

A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided on Monday near the railway track between wards 12 and 13 of Ishwarpur Municipality in Sarlahi, causing a fire that seriously injured the motorcyclist and left four others with varying injuries.

  • The motorcycle (Province 03-028P 2191) was heading toward Banke from Srinagar.
  • The pickup (Ba 8 Cha 65) was en route to Mahottari from Bayalbas.
  • The collision sparked a fire, completely destroying the motorcycle and damaging the front of the pickup.

Injuries Reported

  • Chandradev Dhami (23) of Ishwarpur-15 suffered critical burns covering 85% of his body.
  • Passengers on the motorcycle, Prashesh and Amit Chaudhary, sustained minor limb injuries.
  • Pickup driver Ram Ekbal Mahato (Hariban-3) and passenger Lekhnath Upadhyay (Hariban-2) sustained moderate injuries.

All injured are currently being treated at Model Hospital, according to Sarlahi District Police Office.
