Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR, has been cleared of charges accusing her of breach of trust. The police in Seoul said on Monday that there is no evidence of a crime, so the case will not go to court.
Min Hee-jin’s team reacts to the police decision
His representative said that HYBE had filed a complaint against her last April. But after careful checking, the police found no proof that she did anything wrong. They decided not to send the case to the prosecution.
HYBE says it will fight the decision
HYBE disagreed with the police and said it will challenge the decision by filing an objection. The company said new evidence has come up since the police started investigating. HYBE also said a court found Min Hee-jin tried to break the rules of her contract, and they want the case to continue.
Other investigation against HYBE members dropped
The police also decided not to send to court the complaint he made against five HYBE managers. They said HYBE’s claims are serious and made for public interest, and that the evidence used was collected properly.
What started the conflict between HYBE and Min Hee-jin?
The fight began in April 2024 when HYBE accused Min Hee-jin of trying to take control of ADOR by breaking trust. He denied this, saying it was not possible because HYBE owns 80% of ADOR’s shares, making it the biggest owner.
