The 18th assembly meeting of Lumbini Buddhist University has approved a budget of Rs 49.59 crore for the upcoming fiscal year.
Meeting Held Under PM Oli’s Chairmanship
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, under the chairmanship of PM and University Chancellor KP Sharma Oli. During the session, Registrar Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya presented the proposed budget, which was approved.
Low Unaccounted Expenses
The university reported that its current unaccounted funds (beruju) stand at just 0.5%, which was shared with the members present at the assembly.
Urgent Assembly for Timely Budget Approval
Following PM Oli’s direction, all universities and academic institutions were instructed to approve their budget and programs for the new fiscal year before it begins. That’s why this urgent assembly was called with short notice to pass the annual budget and planning through the Senate meeting.
