One person died and two others were injured after being electrocuted near the Lakhandehi Bridge in Lalbandi Municipality–1 of Sarlahi district.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Dinesh Paswan, a truck helper from Brindawan Municipality–7 of Rautahat. The injured are 25-year-old Kundan Paswan and 40-year-old Jageshwar Paswan. Both sustained serious injuries.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 AM today when a truck (Na 6 Kha 7550) arrived from Rautahat to pick up rice husk from New Ma Rajdevi Rice Mill in Lalbandi. While loading the husk, the truck reportedly touched an 11,000-volt live electric wire, electrocuting all three individuals.
A team from the Area Police Office, Nawalpur, rescued the injured and took them to Namuna Hospital in Hariwan for treatment. Dinesh Paswan died during treatment, police confirmed.
