Telugu superstar and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan is fast wrapping up his film projects to fully focus on his political journey. After completing Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG, he is currently shooting Ustaad Bhagat Singh, an action-packed cop drama directed by Harish Shankar. Actress Sreeleela plays the female lead in this high-profile film, which is progressing swiftly in Hyderabad.
The latest big update is that actress Raashii Khanna has joined the cast in a crucial second lead role. This marks Raashii’s comeback to Telugu cinema after a break since 2022. Known for her roles in films like Hyper and Bengal Tiger, Raashii sees this as a golden opportunity to reignite her Tollywood career.
Raashii reportedly joined the sets just two days after signing the film. With fewer offers in Telugu recently, she had shifted her focus to Tamil cinema, featuring in titles like Thiruchitrambalam and Sangathamizhan. Now, with Ustaad Bhagat Singh, she is back in the Telugu spotlight—opposite none other than Pawan Kalyan.
Director Harish Shankar, who previously delivered the blockbuster Gabbar Singh with Pawan Kalyan, is expected to recreate the magic. He is also known for boosting the careers of actresses like Shruti Haasan, and fans hope Raashii will experience a similar revival.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers on a grand scale, the film will feature music by Devi Sri Prasad, the composer behind hits like Pushpa and Julayi. Raashii will also be seen next in Telusu Kada opposite Siddhu Jonnalagadda.
