Ajith Kumar and Adhik Ravichandran confirm new film AK64

After the success of Good Bad Ugly, director Adhik Ravichandran has confirmed that he is teaming up once again with superstar Ajith Kumar for his next film, tentatively titled AK64.

Speaking to the media recently, Adhik revealed, “Yes, I’m doing the next film with Ajith Kumar sir. I’m very happy to get this opportunity. AK64 will be very different from Good Bad Ugly and will definitely be a treat for fans.”

This marks the second collaboration between the duo, whose last film Good Bad Ugly was made on a massive budget of ₹300 crore and grossed nearly ₹212 crore at the box office. Despite missing break-even, the film was praised for its entertainment value and star power.

Good Bad Ugly also marked Mythri Movie Makers’ first Tamil production, with a power-packed cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, and more. The action-comedy followed the story of a retired gangster forced to return to the underworld after his son is wrongly accused.

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar has also shown interest in doing a Formula 1-themed film, inspired by Brad Pitt’s upcoming F1 project. In an earlier interview, Ajith said, “I usually perform my own stunts, so if there’s a calling, why not?” When the interviewer suggested calling it RedAnt Racing, Ajith replied with a smile, “We can call it RedAnt Ajith Racing as well.”

Fans are now eagerly waiting for more details on AK64, which promises to bring something new and exciting to the big screen.
