Actress Nithya Menen, who has earned a strong fan base across languages, is all set to make a return to the big screen with her upcoming film Sir Madam, releasing on July 25. In a recent interview, she opened up about her personal views on love, relationships, and the freedom that comes with solitude.
Love doesn’t define me anymore, says Nithya Menen
Nithya candidly shared that her perspective on love has changed over time. “Earlier, I used to believe that love and having a soulmate were essential, and without them, life felt incomplete. I’ve also gone through a phase where I actively searched for such a person. But eventually, I realised that my life doesn’t need to revolve around one person,” she said.
Solo living is not a flaw, it’s a choice
Emphasizing that being single is not a shortcoming, Nithya said, “There’s nothing wrong with being alone. Even Ratan Tata never got married. Just because one doesn’t marry doesn’t mean life is lacking. Yes, sometimes the absence of companionship can feel heavy, but I truly enjoy the freedom that comes with being on my own.”
Her experiences shaped who she is today
Reflecting on her journey, she added, “The lessons I’ve learned from my life experiences made me who I am today. I’ve come to understand that whatever happens in life usually happens for a good reason.”
Nithya’s honest take on relationships and personal growth is now striking a chord with audiences, quickly going viral on social media.
