A school teacher from Saptari, Ramkrishna Raya, was found dead near a canal in Dakneshwari Municipality–4, Kushaha early this morning.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Gautam KC, Raya had been missing since Thursday evening. His bicycle and a bottle of pesticide were found next to his body. Police said there were no visible injuries on the body, raising questions about the cause of death.
Ward chairperson Devendra Yadav confirmed that Raya was working as a teacher at National Public School in Ward No. 5.
The police have launched a detailed investigation to determine whether it was a case of suicide or if there were other circumstances behind the death.
