According to the Department of Tourism, the climber, Philip II Santiago, had taken a permit from Snow Horizon Treks and Expedition. The company informed that he died between 7 and 8 PM on Wednesday.
He had safely reached Camp IV and was resting when he passed away, according to members of the climbing team. The department also said that preparations are underway to bring his body back to the base camp after completing necessary procedures.
