The final quarterfinal match of the 24th Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup will take place today between two foreign clubs.
India’s Thunderbolt North United and Uzbekistan’s Black Bulls FC will face off in today’s match, which will kick off at 2:30 PM at Pokhara Stadium.
Both teams are participating in the Aaharara Pokhara Gold Cup for the first time. Sikkim-based Thunderbolt United reached the quarterfinals by defeating Sankata FC in their first match.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s Black Bulls FC received a bye and will directly play in the quarterfinals. The winner of this match will face Nepal’s A-Division club Three Star in the semifinals.
Thunderbolt United, captained by Sonam Jangpo Bhutia, includes players who have competed in various leagues in India. Additionally, Nepali player Suraj Jyu Thakuri is also playing for Thunderbolt.
On the other hand, the Uzbekistani club also features players who have previously played in Nepal.
