Aarti Ravi Demands ₹40 Lakh Monthly Maintenance in Divorce Case Against Ravi Mohan

Last week, Tamil actor Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife, Aarti Ravi, once again made headlines as their ongoing public feud intensified on social media. Over the past six months, both have shared statements that have fueled widespread speculation and gossip. Meanwhile, their divorce case, which Ravi initiated last September, continues to proceed in the Chennai Family Welfare Court.

Aarti Ravi and Jayam Ravi tied the knot in 2009, but after 15 years of marriage, the couple announced their separation. Currently, both are attending divorce hearings at the 3rd Additional Family Welfare Court in Chennai. According to a News18 report, Judge Thenmozhi presided over Ravi Mohan’s petition this week, where he expressed that reconciliation was impossible and reaffirmed his desire for a divorce. On the other hand, Aarti submitted a counter-petition requesting maintenance of ₹40 lakh per month, citing the need for financial support after their separation. The court has scheduled the next hearing for June 12.

The turmoil between Ravi Mohan and Aarti Ravi has been closely watched, especially since Ravi left the marital home in 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. His close friendship with singer Keneeshaa Francis has also sparked controversy. The situation escalated when Ravi publicly appeared with Keneeshaa at a wedding in Chennai last week, stirring fresh media attention.

In a statement posted on Instagram on May 20, Aarti hinted at a ‘third person’ being the real cause behind their marital breakdown. Although she did not directly name Keneeshaa, she dismissed claims that money, power, or control led to their split. She criticized Ravi’s description of Keneeshaa as the ‘light of my life,’ stating, “The reason our marriage fell apart wasn’t between us — it was someone from outside. The ‘light of your life’ only cast darkness over ours. That’s the real story.”
