ACP Pradyuman to Make a Comeback in CID After Shocking Death

After the shocking death of ACP Pradyuman, portrayed by Shivaji Satam, in a recent episode of CID, the show’s fans were left reeling. However, it seems this is not the end for the iconic character. According to a report by Times of India, ACP Pradyuman will be returning to the show in a few weeks. The news has sparked excitement among long-time viewers of the show.

The actor, Shivaji Satam, has been a key figure in CID since its inception in 1998, and his portrayal of ACP Pradyuman has become synonymous with the show. Fans were outraged by his character’s dramatic exit, which saw the ACP seemingly killed in an explosion while pursuing the criminal Barboza (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia). Although the death was not shown on screen, Sony TV confirmed the tragic end of ACP Pradyuman with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, marking the “End of an Era.”

However, in a surprising twist, a source close to the production revealed that Shivaji Satam would be back on the show shortly. “ACP Pradyuman is an iconic character, and such a loss is temporary,” the source said. “Shivaji Satam will return in a few weeks, and he’s expected to begin shooting next week.” It seems the makers of CID are known for adding dramatic twists, including bringing back characters after their supposed deaths, which is why this return isn’t out of the ordinary.

Meanwhile, Parth Samthaan, who had joined the cast recently, is set to appear on the show for a brief period. Reports indicate that his role may not be permanent, as the return of ACP Pradyuman is expected to bring things back to the status quo.

Shivaji Satam himself had remained quiet about the character’s death, telling Bombay Times that he wasn’t sure of what the future held for his role. “I have taken a break for some time, and the makers are aware of what’s ahead. If my track is over, I’m okay with it,” he had said. Despite his uncertainty, it seems the show’s creators have big plans for his return.

The return of CID earlier this year has brought the beloved show back to life after a six-year hiatus. Fans can catch new episodes every weekend on Sony TV, Sony LIV, and Netflix, as the show continues to air on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 pm.
