Actor Sonu Sood Breaks Silence on Fraud Case and Arrest Warrant

Sonu Sood has responded after a court in Ludhiana issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him in a fraud case. The warrant was ordered by Ludhiana judicial magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur. On Friday, Sonu clarified the situation on his X account, explaining that he had been called to appear as a witness in a case unrelated to him.

In his post, Sonu said, “The news circulating on social media is exaggerated. We were asked to appear as witnesses in a case involving a third party, to which we have no connection. Our lawyers have responded, and we will give a statement on February 10, 2025, to clarify that we are not involved in this matter.”

He further added, “We are neither brand ambassadors nor connected to this case in any way. This is all being done just to attract media attention. It’s unfortunate that celebrities become easy targets. We will take legal action in this case.”

The Ludhiana court had ordered the officer-in-charge of Oshiwara Police Station in Andheri West, Mumbai, to arrest Sonu Sood. The court’s order said that Sonu had received summons or warrants but had not attended, possibly trying to avoid them. The court directed the police to arrest him and bring him before the court.

The next hearing is set for February 10.

On the professional front, Sonu Sood was recently seen in the action film Fateh, which also marked his directorial debut.
