Aditya Roy Kapur Revives Aashiqui 2 Feels with Surprise Live Performance at Metro... In Dino Launch

Aditya Roy Kapur is bringing back the magic — and this time, with a mic in hand! The Bollywood heartthrob, best known for his soulful portrayal of troubled singer Rahul Jaykar in Aashiqui 2, stunned fans with a surprise live performance during the album launch of his upcoming film Metro… In Dino.

Held on Monday, the event turned unexpectedly nostalgic as Aditya took center stage and belted out Ishq Hai Ya Tharak, a track from the film’s soundtrack. While fans were already buzzing about his singing debut in the Anurag Basu directorial, no one anticipated the live vocals — and it sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Clips from the performance quickly went viral, especially on Reddit, where fans flooded the comments with throwbacks to Aashiqui 2. “Is that Rahul Jaykar back from the ashes?” one fan joked. Another quipped, “Only thing missing is Shraddha Kapoor in the audience!” The live act didn’t just stir nostalgia — it earned him genuine praise for his vocals. “He sounds cute, okaayy!!??” wrote one user, while another added, “He’s the cutest ever. Love ARK maxxxxxx.”

Dressed in his signature laid-back charm and soaking in the spotlight, Aditya looked completely at home on stage — a full-circle moment for fans who watched him lip-sync as a rockstar a decade ago and are now seeing him do it for real.

Alongside Aditya, the film boasts a powerhouse ensemble including Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Neena Gupta.

The music is composed by Pritam, adding another layer of emotion to the film’s tapestry of stories. Set to release on July 4, the film promises to be a poignant and heartwarming journey — with Aditya Roy Kapur possibly winning hearts again, one note at a time.
