After Saitama show, BTS’ J-Hope posts photos with Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi

BTS member J-Hope is currently making waves across the globe with his “Hope on the Stage” solo tour. On Sunday, he lit up the stage in Saitama, Japan, delivering another electrifying performance at the iconic Saitama Super Arena.

The following day, J-Hope gave fans a peek into the special night through a series of photos on Instagram. His post included candid shots of him performing, having fun backstage, and engaging warmly with fans close to the stage. One standout moment featured a snapshot with Japanese fashion icon and designer Nigo, while another photo caught fans’ attention — a cheerful picture of J-Hope alongside popular Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi.

In the picture, J-Hope sports a casual look with a white T-shirt layered under a black top, paired with denim jeans. Kentaro, on the other hand, kept it cozy in a cream sweater and denim, playfully pointing at J-Hope as they posed together.

This meeting wasn’t their first. The two have shared a bond since 2018 when BTS provided the theme song “Don’t Leave Me” for the Japanese adaptation of the drama Signal, which starred Kentaro. Since then, he’s been a regular face at BTS concerts and fan events, marking a friendship that’s lasted for over seven years.

J-Hope’s “Hope on the Stage” tour began on February 28 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, where he performed for three nights. The tour has since taken him to cities including Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, Oakland, Los Angeles, and Manila. Next on his itinerary are performances in Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei, and Osaka.

As a member of the world-renowned group BTS — alongside RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V (Taehyung), and Jungkook — J-Hope has returned to the spotlight after completing his military service last year with Jin. The remaining members are expected to be discharged by June 2025, much to the anticipation of ARMYs worldwide.
