The AI industry had a landmark year in 2024, with 49 startups raising funding rounds of $100 million or more. Among these, three companies raised multiple “mega-rounds,” and seven companies raised rounds exceeding $1 billion. As we move into 2025, it looks like the trend is continuing. Although it’s early in the year, several U.S. AI companies have already raised significant funds, including one round surpassing $1 billion.
Here’s a look at the U.S. AI companies that have raised over $100 million so far in 2025:
March
- Anthropic, an AI research and large language model company, raised an impressive $3.5 billion in a Series E round, bringing its valuation to $61.5 billion. The round was led by Lightspeed, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and General Catalyst, among others.
February
- Together AI, which develops open-source generative AI and AI model infrastructure, raised $305 million in Series B funding, giving the company a valuation of $3.3 billion. The round was co-led by Prosperity7 and General Catalyst, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Nvidia, Lux Capital, and others.
- Lambda, an AI infrastructure company, secured $480 million in Series D funding, bringing its valuation to nearly $2.5 billion. This round was co-led by SGW and Andra Capital, with participation from Nvidia, G Squared, ARK Invest, and others.
- Abridge, an AI platform focused on transcribing patient-clinician conversations, raised $250 million in Series D funding, reaching a valuation of $2.75 billion. The round was co-led by IVP and Elad Gil, with participation from Lightspeed, Redpoint, and Spark Capital.
- Eudia, an AI legal tech startup, raised $105 million in a Series A round led by General Catalyst, with participation from Floodgate, Defy Ventures, and Everywhere Ventures, among others.
- EnCharge AI, an AI hardware company, raised $100 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Tiger Global, with participation from Scout Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and RTX Ventures.
January
- ElevenLabs, a synthetic voice startup, raised $180 million in Series C funding, reaching a valuation of over $3 billion. The round was co-led by ICONIQ Growth and Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Sequoia, NEA, Salesforce Ventures, and others.
- Hippocratic AI, which builds large language models for healthcare, secured $141 million in Series B funding, with a valuation over $1.6 billion. The round was led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Nvidia, and General Catalyst.
