After getting criticized for the song Pehla Tu, the makers of Son of Sardaar 2 have now released a new version of the old hit song Po Po. But once again, people on the internet are not happy. Many are making fun of the dance moves and saying that the new version has “ruined” the original song.
On Thursday, Ajay Devgn posted the video of The Po Po Song on Instagram. The song features the entire cast, with a special focus on Ajay and actress Mrunal Thakur. Sharing the video, Ajay wrote:
“We weren’t messing bro…. it is THE SONG bro!!! #ThePoPoSong Out Now: Link in bio #SonOfSardaar2 in cinemas this 25th of July! #SardaarIsBack #SOS2.”
The song has vocals by Guru Randhawa, music by Tanishk Bagchi, and lyrics by Armaan Sharma. Guru also appears in the video, along with Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait, Mrunal, Ajay, and others.
While Ajay is seen dancing in the video, the signature dance step didn’t impress many online. One person commented, “What is the step bro?” Another said, “He needs a better choreographer.” A third wrote, “These dance moves are just weird.”
Many fans felt that the remake was disrespectful to the original. One user commented, “This is garbage. First they ruined Son of Sardaar, now Po Po. Stop ruining my childhood memories.” Another said, “Why are they spoiling all the good songs?” Someone else joked, “Please pour Gangajal in my eyes after watching this.” One even said, “Ajay’s dancing looks more like a warm-up than real moves.”
The original Po Po song featured Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonakshi Sinha, with a surprise appearance by Salman Khan. Though the dance wasn’t complex, it became very popular when it first came out.
