After Bhool Bhulaiyaa, director Priyadarshan is making a new horror-comedy film called Bhoot Bangla with Vidya Balan and Akshay Kumar.
After the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa in 2007, producers Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar wanted Priyadarshan to direct its sequels. However, Priyadarshan did not want to continue the story, so he refused. The producers then made two sequels without him, directed by Anees Bazmee.
But fans did not like the second and third parts as much as the first one. Many viewers still prefer the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.
Seeing this demand, Priyadarshan has now decided to make Bhoot Bangla with the same two stars. This is Priyadarshan and Akshay’s first film together in 14 years after De Dana Dan. It is also his second time working with Vidya Balan.
