A deadly crash between an ambulance and a school van took place in Keureni, Devchuli Municipality-2, East Nawalparasi. The accident left one person dead and five others injured.
The ambulance (Na 4 Cha 4616) was heading from Butwal to Narayangadh when it collided with a school van (Ba 20 Cha 1272) from Divya Academy Boarding School. The crash happened in a busy area, shocking local residents.
DSP Madhu Nepal informed that a total of six people, including both drivers, were inside the vehicles. Sadly, 53-year-old school van driver Kulprasad Subedi died during treatment. The ambulance driver, Bhairav Bahadur Thapa, has been taken into police custody.
According to police, the condition of the other injured passengers is normal. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
