The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has officially revealed the ANFA Calendar 2025, outlining plans for a year-round football schedule. The 46th edition of the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League will kick off on December 16, 2025, and will run until June 14, 2026.

A Division League Returns in December

Nepal’s top-tier club competition, the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League, will begin its 46th season on December 16, 2025. This follows the 45th edition, which concluded in June 2023. The new schedule promises a more organized football calendar in Nepal ,according to ANFA Calendar 2025.

B and C Division Dates Finalized

The B Division League, which started on February 9, 2025, at the ANFA Complex, will promote two teams to the A Division. Its next edition begins on March 4, 2026. The C Division League will run from December 21, 2025, to February 27, 2026, while the qualifiers start from June 1 to July 30, 2025.

Women’s League Begins in September

ANFA Calendar 2025 includes the Women’s League starting in September. The last edition was won by the Armed Police Force in January 2025. ANFA aims to enhance women’s participation in competitive football through regular tournaments.

Youth and Grassroots Football Gets a Boost

Youth leagues and school-level competitions are scheduled under ANFA Calendar 2025. Inter-district school tournaments for U14, U17 boys and U14, U16 girls will lead to provincial (August 21 to September 10) and national (October 8 to 17) levels.

ANFA President League Starts in May

The ANFA President League, featuring champions from provincial leagues, will be held from May 18 to June 7, 2025. This tournament is one of the earliest competitions on the calendar.

Cancelled Knockout Replaced with ANFA Cup

Although the proposed league-cum-knockout tournament from May 3 to 17 was cancelled due to club disagreements, ANFA will instead host the ANFA Cup Knockout Championship in November 2025.

Futsal Competitions Throughout the Year

According to the ANFA Calendar 2025, the A Division Futsal League will run from mid-July to mid-August with 10 teams. The Inter-College Futsal Championship is scheduled for November, and the Women’s Futsal Championship for mid-December.

National Teams Have Busy Schedules

Nepal’s national football teams will be active in 2025. The senior men’s team will play in the SAFF Championship in June and the FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Laos, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The U19, U23, and U17 men’s teams will compete in SAFF and AFC events.

Women’s National Teams to Play More Matches

The senior women’s team will participate in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers in Uzbekistan. There are also SAFF and AFC championships for U17 and U20 women planned for July, August, and October.

Over Rs1.56 Billion Spent in 2025

ANFA revealed that it received and spent Rs1.56 billion in 2025. Funding sources included FIFA (Rs330 million), AFC (Rs187.5 million), SAFF (Rs14.495 million), media and marketing (Rs158.4 million), and ticket sales (Rs43.75 million).

ANFA Prioritizing Long-Term Growth

ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah stated that making football active throughout the year is key to the sport’s long-term development. The ANFA Calendar 2025 reflects their goal to build stronger domestic leagues that will strengthen national teams.
