Anupam Kher Reveals Karan Tacker’s Role in Tanvi: The Great on His Birthday

Veteran actor-turned-director Anupam Kher continues to build excitement for his upcoming film Tanvi: The Great by introducing its stellar cast one by one. After revealing the first look of female lead Shubhangi Dutt a few weeks ago, Kher has now unveiled Karan Tacker’s look from the film—right on the actor’s birthday.

Taking to Instagram on May 11, Anupam Kher shared a powerful glimpse of Tacker’s character, Capt. Samar Raina. Clad in a dignified Indian Army uniform, Karan exudes a mix of strength and charm, setting the tone for what appears to be a compelling role.

In his post, Kher extended warm birthday wishes to Tacker while also sharing his reasons for casting him. “When I watched Neeraj Pandey’s Special Ops, I was struck by Karan’s presence and nuanced performance. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter only reinforced my belief in his talent,” he wrote.

Kher further elaborated on what made Tacker perfect for the role. “Karan brings an effortless gravitas to his performances, something that was essential for playing Capt. Samar Raina. He dons the Army uniform with pride, elegance, and emotional depth.”

The caption ended on a note of admiration and camaraderie: “You’ll love him in TTG! Thank you, Karan, for your passion, commitment, and brilliance. Jai Ho and Jai Hind!”

Responding to the post, Karan Tacker expressed his gratitude and anticipation: “Extremely elated to be sharing my next with you all. Can’t wait for you to witness the magic of Tanvi: The Great,” he commented, adding a red-heart emoji.

Tanvi: The Great, which was officially announced last year, marks Anupam Kher’s second directorial venture. The film boasts a rich musical score by Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani. Alongside Tacker and Shubhangi Dutt, the cast includes veterans Jackie Shroff as Brig. Joshi, Arvind Swami as Major Srinivasan, and Pallavi Joshi as Vidya Raina.

The film is a joint production between Anupam Kher Studios and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), promising a cinematic experience that blends heartfelt storytelling with powerful performances.
