Anupam Kher’s Hilarious Jungle Detour in Hyderabad: Climbing Walls to Reach Film Set

Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently gave fans a peek into one of his latest on-location adventures in Hyderabad. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, he shared a video capturing a rather unexpected hurdle—his car getting stuck in what appeared to be a jungle-like area, forcing him to climb a wall to reach the film set.

In the clip, Anupam is seen wearing a white T-shirt, grey trousers, and a cap, standing beside his car that was immobilized on a narrow, greenery-lined road. A low wall separated him from the shooting location.

Anupam explained with a smile, “Today my driver lost the way to the shooting spot. Look, he brought me right into the jungle. But my shoot is actually on the other side.” The camera then shifts from the lush, forest-like surroundings to reveal the sets just beyond the wall.

With good humor, the actor showed several crew members nearby, ready to assist. “Now, the team will help me climb out of the jungle using a ladder. This is what this profession demands,” he chuckled. “Everyone’s come to get me because my car is stuck,” he added as he climbed up a chair, stepped onto the ladder, and scaled the wall with ease. After reaching the other side, he thanked the helpers warmly.

Captioning the video, Anupam wrote, “From this side to that! Over my 40 years in cinema, I’ve reached my shoots in many ways, but today’s experience was uniquely hilarious.” He also noted that he was filming in Hyderabad for an upcoming untitled project starring Prabhas. “My driver decided to be adventurous, taking us into a jungle and then a dead end. The car couldn’t move backward! Watch what happened next,” he concluded with a hashtag, #KuchBhiHoSaktaHai (Anything Can Happen).

Aside from this film, Anupam is gearing up for multiple releases. His 544th film will be this untitled Prabhas-starrer directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. He will also feature in Anurag Basu’s upcoming movie Metro In Dino, which boasts an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Sara Ali Khan. Metro In Dino is set to hit theatres on July 4.

Additionally, Anupam is excited about his directorial debut Tanvi The Great, starring Karan Tacker, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swamy, and Iain Glen, scheduled for release on July 18.
