The episode opens with Raghav’s mother sharing the heartbreaking story of his past with Anupamaa. She tells Anupamaa that Raghav was once married to a wealthy woman, but their marriage turned sour due to mistreatment from her brothers. One day, his wife vanished, and Raghav was wrongly accused of her murder. After being imprisoned, he lost all faith in relationships. His mother, who is near death, expresses her final wish to see her son once more, and Anupamaa offers her comfort.
As Raghav prepares for his release, he says his goodbyes to his fellow prisoners. Kartik, a fellow inmate, expresses a desire to meet him outside, but Raghav insists that no one is waiting for him. Kartik encourages him to believe in destiny and assures him that he will find the right people. Raghav, lost in thought, plays the mouth organ, reflecting on his past.
At the Kothari household, Vasundhara stops Rahi and Prem from going to work by organizing a sudden prayer ceremony. Rahi, unaware of her mother’s intentions, agrees to attend but insists on working afterward. Khyati, however, suspects that Vasundhara is using the prayer as a way to prevent Rahi from going to work. Meanwhile, Parag instructs Gautam to find a suitable plot for a restaurant he plans to open for Prem.
Once released from prison, Raghav aimlessly roams the streets while Anupamaa searches for him, hoping to reunite him with his mother. In a chance encounter, Parag bumps into Raghav, but although Raghav is startled by Parag’s voice, he does not recognize him. Elsewhere, Mahi tries to get closer to Prem, which frustrates Pari, who urges Prem to spend more time with Rahi. Mahi believes Prem will eventually grow bored of Rahi’s straightforward personality and develop feelings for her instead.
Feeling hopeless and lost, Raghav contemplates suicide, but fate has other plans. Rahi finds herself stranded due to a car breakdown, and Mohit comes to her rescue. They bond over their shared concerns for each other. Meanwhile, Anupamaa arrives just in time to stop Raghav from taking his life. She reveals that his mother is still alive, and Raghav, overwhelmed with emotion, begs her to take him to see her.
At the same time, Mohit steps in to defend Rahi from a group of harassers, and Prem arrives just in time to help. The two men agree to take Mohit to the Kothari mansion to stay until he finds a place of his own. Mohit reflects on his past with Khyati and Prem.
Finally, Anupamaa fulfills her promise and reunites Raghav with his mother. The emotional moment is a turning point for Raghav, who assures his mother that he will never leave her again. Back at the mansion, Khyati is stunned to see Mohit, while Raghav finds solace in his reunion with his mother.
