Apple is bringing big improvements to its Health app. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in the Power On newsletter, Apple is working on an advanced version of the Health app under the codename Project Mulberry.
AI-Powered Health Coaching
The new version of the app will include an AI agent that will act as a virtual health assistant. It will provide health advice based on user data, similar to a personal health coach or doctor. The AI will analyze user habits and suggest ways to improve their lifestyle.
Educational Health Videos
Apple plans to include educational videos created by real doctors. These videos will help users understand their health better and make informed decisions.
Enhanced Nutrition and Workout Tracking
The updated Health app will focus more on nutrition tracking. It may also use the iPhone’s camera to provide workout posture correction tips, helping users improve their exercise techniques.
Introducing Health Plus
This new service is informally called Health Plus. According to Gurman, it is expected to launch in Spring or Summer 2025 with the iOS 19.4 update.
Apple’s Medical Team and Content Studio
Apple has a team of medical professionals training the AI agent with accurate data. The company is also planning to open a health content studio near Oakland, California, where it will film educational health content.
Collaboration with Famous Doctors
Apple is reportedly looking for renowned doctors to be the face of Health Plus. If the service launches with a well-known medical expert, it will not be a surprise.
