Ashish Chanchlani and Elli AvrRam's Viral Romance Was Just a Promotion for Their Music Video Chandaniya

Fans were shocked and intrigued when YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and actress Elli AvrRam shared what seemed like a romantic announcement on Instagram. The two posed closely by a peaceful riverside, with Elli holding flowers and both looking joyful. The caption read just one word: “Finally.” This led many to believe they were revealing a real-life relationship.

But in a twist that left fans surprised, it was all part of a smart marketing move. The post was actually a teaser for their new romantic music video Chandaniya, which dropped a few days later.

Ashish reveals the truth with the music release

On Saturday, Ashish ended the suspense by posting the Chandaniya music video on Instagram and YouTube.
He captioned it:

“Finally, our beautiful song is out, guys. Link is in bio. Mazboot kharcha by #tseries @tseries.official. Presented by #BhushanKumar…”

He also gave a shoutout to the music team: composer Mithoon, singer Vishal Mishra, lyricist Sayeed Quadri, and producers Dhruwal Patel and Jigar Mulani.

The romantic song has received lots of love, but the playful deception also sparked mixed reactions from fans.

Fans felt happy but also slightly tricked

While many appreciated the surprise, others felt misled. Social media was filled with reactions like:

  • “Shit, this was a prank!”
  • “So this wasn’t a girlfriend launch?”
  • “I knew it wasn’t real!”
  • “Dhoka, dhoka, dhoka!”
  • “Ashish bhai, you fooled us!”

Still, the emotional tone and visuals of Chandaniya have struck a chord with listeners.

Ashish’s acting debut and Elli’s latest project

Ashish Chanchlani isn’t stopping with music videos. He’s about to make his acting debut in Ekaki, a supernatural thriller with a mix of horror and comedy. The film will be released soon on the ACV Studios YouTube channel and also stars Kash Dodeja, Harsh Rane, Sidhanth Sarfare, Shashank Shekar, Rohit Sadhwani, and Grishim Nawani.

Elli AvrRam was last seen in Conjuring Kannappan, a Tamil horror-comedy directed by Selvin Raj Xavier. The movie features Sathish and Regina Cassandra in lead roles and includes popular supporting actors like Nassar, Anandaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, VTV Ganesh, and Redin Kingsley. The plot follows a group of people stuck in a haunted dream, trying to escape.

A well-played surprise

Ashish and Elli certainly caught everyone’s attention with their unexpected promo strategy. While some fans felt tricked, others enjoyed the creativity behind the reveal. One thing’s for sure — Chandaniya is off to a strong and emotional start.
