Copa del Rey: El Clasico Final Set
Real Madrid reached the final after an incredible 4-4 draw against Real Sociedad on Tuesday, winning 5-4 on aggregate. Their victory, combined with Barcelona’s triumph, means fans will witness the first Copa del Rey final between the two rivals in over a decade.
The two sides have faced off 18 times in Copa del Rey finals, with Real Madrid leading the tally with 11 wins, including a 2-1 victory in the 2014 final. However, Barcelona dominated their recent meetings, winning 4-0 at the Bernabeu in LaLiga and 5-2 in the Spanish Super Cup final in January.
Both Teams Still in the Hunt for Multiple Titles
Barcelona currently lead LaLiga with 66 points, three ahead of Real Madrid, with Atletico Madrid trailing further behind. Both teams are also in the Champions League quarter-finals, with Real set to face Arsenal in London, while Barcelona will host Borussia Dortmund.
The Copa del Rey final will take place on April 26 at La Cartuja Stadium, promising another thrilling chapter in the historic rivalry between the two Spanish giants.
