Barcelona secured the Spanish Super Cup title with an impressive comeback, defeating Real Madrid 5-2 in a thrilling match held on Sunday night in Saudi Arabia.

Real Madrid took an early lead in the 5th minute when Kylian Mbappé scored a stunning solo goal. However, Barcelona equalized in the 22nd minute as Lamine Yamal capitalized on a pass from Robert Lewandowski.

Barcelona dominated the rest of the first half, scoring three more goals. In the 36th minute, Lewandowski converted a penalty after Xavi was fouled. Just three minutes later, Raphinha scored to extend the lead. During the 10th minute of added injury time in the first half, Alejandro Balde netted a goal from a brilliant assist by Raphinha.

In the second half, Raphinha struck again, scoring in the 48th minute to further solidify Barcelona’s lead.

The game took a dramatic turn in the 56th minute when Barcelona goalkeeper Szczesny was shown a red card for fouling Mbappé. Shortly after, in the 60th minute, Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Rodrygo scored a beautiful curling free-kick, beating substitute goalkeeper Iñaki Peña.

Despite playing with ten men, Barcelona held their ground, securing a memorable victory and lifting the Spanish Super Cup trophy.
