Eminem made a long-awaited return to the AMAs after a 15-year gap, winning both Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

Unforgettable Performances and Tributes
Host Jennifer Lopez returned after ten years, opening the night with a dynamic medley featuring 23 hits from the past year. The show paid tribute to legends, with Janet Jackson delivering a rare performance and accepting the Icon Award. Dressed in her signature oversized style, she performed Someone to Call My Lover (with a Mariah Carey mashup) and All For You. Her heartfelt speech emphasized the importance of passion and legacy over fame.
Closing out the night, Rod Stewart received the Lifetime Achievement Award, surprised by five of his children who joined him on stage. He wrapped up the ceremony with a soul-stirring performance of Forever Young.
