BLACKPINK Kicks Off ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour in Seoul, Lee Min-ho’s Surprise Appearance Steals the Show

Global K-pop icons BLACKPINK set the stage ablaze on July 5 with the launch of their highly anticipated 2025 world tour, DEADLINE, at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. The grand opening not only marked their return to the stage as a group after three years, but also turned into a social media sensation—especially after actor Lee Min-ho was spotted among the audience.

The Boys Over Flowers and The King: Eternal Monarch star surprised fans by attending the concert in person and later sharing snippets on Instagram. His appearance was particularly heartwarming for fans of Omniscient Reader, as he came to cheer on co-star and BLACKPINK member Jisoo. BLINKs and K-drama fans alike praised Lee for his thoughtful gesture, calling him “the ultimate supportive friend.”

Fans flooded social platforms with clips and photos of the actor at the venue. His humble presence at the show sparked a wave of admiration online, uniting both BLINKs and ARMYs in appreciation for his support.

No New Album, Just Nostalgia and Power Performances

Unlike past tours, the DEADLINE setlist didn’t revolve around a new album. Instead, it featured a carefully curated mix of BLACKPINK’s greatest hits and individual solo stages, highlighting the group’s journey and artistic evolution. Each member brought something unique to the stage, with their trademark energy and charisma lighting up the stadium.

The group also treated fans to a live performance of their unreleased comeback track Jump, which sparked mixed reactions—some applauding its bold sound, while others expressed reservations.

Ahead of the concert, Jisoo offered fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse via Instagram on July 4. She shared rehearsal clips, candid photos with staff, and snippets of the group prepping for the big night, captioned: “DEADLINE Let’s Goooooooo.”

BLACKPINK’s Global Impact Continues

The DEADLINE World Tour is set to cover 31 shows in 16 major cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo, Singapore, and Bangkok. This massive global itinerary reinforces BLACKPINK’s position as one of the most dominant forces in pop music.

While the group’s comeback is eagerly awaited, member Rosé is also making waves as a soloist. She recently became the first female solo artist to win a Bonsang at the Seoul Music Awards for her album Rosie, and took home the prestigious World Best Artist Award.

With BLACKPINK’s world tour now in full swing, the group once again proves their unrivaled influence—both collectively and individually. DEADLINE isn’t just a tour; it’s a celebration of BLACKPINK’s legacy, star power, and their unbreakable bond with fans around the world.
