A 25-year-old man from Dhanusha was found dead in a roadside ditch, raising concerns and prompting a police investigation.
The deceased has been identified as Niraj Sahani, son of Chulhai Sahani, from Arjanubatol in Kshireshwarnath Municipality–5, Dhanusha. He was found lying face down in a drainage canal near the Food Corporation office in Lakshminiya Rural Municipality–1, along the Janakpur–Dhalkevar road section.
According to Dhanusha police spokesperson DSP Barun Bahadur Singh, the police arrived at the scene shortly after being informed and have started an investigation. A black bag was also discovered near the body.
Family members said Niraj had gone out with a relative on Tuesday evening and had not returned. The cause of death has not been confirmed yet.
