Producer Boney Kapoor has revealed his plans for a sequel to Mom, the last film of legendary actress Sridevi. Kapoor intends to cast his younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor, in the project. Sharing his thoughts, he said, “I have watched all of Khushi’s films – Archies, Loveyappa, and Nadaaniyaan. I am planning a film with her after No Entry. It could be Mom 2. She is trying to follow in the footsteps of her mother, who was a top star in every language she worked in. I hope both Khushi and Janhvi reach that same level of perfection.”
A Look Back at ‘Mom’
Released in 2017, Mom was a gripping crime thriller directed by Ravi Udyawar. The film followed a mother’s quest for justice after her stepdaughter was sexually assaulted. The movie starred Sridevi in a powerful role, alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna, Sajal Aly, and Adnan Siddiqui. It was Sridevi’s 300th and final film before her untimely passing in 2018.

Khushi Kapoor’s Rising Career
Khushi Kapoor has been making her mark in Bollywood. She recently starred in Nadaaniyaan alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan, who made his acting debut with the film.
Reviewing Nadaaniyaan, Filmfare rated it 3 out of 5 stars, stating, “Khushi Kapoor’s character, Pia, may initially seem designed for glamour, but she shines in emotionally charged moments. Her chemistry with Ibrahim feels effortless, and the director has handled it well without oversexualizing their interactions.”
Boney Kapoor’s Other Projects
Apart from Mom 2, Boney Kapoor is also focused on his upcoming film No Entry, which is set to begin filming between July and August. Speaking about the project, he said, “There are too many leading ladies in the film, so I can’t name just a few right now. We have locked in some cast members, and once we finalize everything, we will make an official announcement.”
