Brothers drown during holy bath in Gosainkunda

Two brothers who went missing while bathing at the sacred Gosainkunda lake in Rasuwa have been found dead. The victims are 26-year-old Sujan Dhakal from Biratnagar and 28-year-old Manoj Neupane from Belbari. They were cousins but considered each other as brothers. Both had gone to Gosainkunda from Kathmandu on the 10th of Shrawan with friends.

The tragic incident happened on Sunday when Sujan reportedly slipped while bathing. Manoj rushed in to save him, but both drowned during the rescue attempt. Their bodies were recovered on Monday morning around 10 AM, according to police.

The family is now working to bring their bodies to Kathmandu. Manoj was living in Kathmandu, while Sujan had recently arrived from Biratnagar. The incident has left their families and community deeply shocked.
