Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes will not be leaving Old Trafford, despite recent speculation linking him to Real Madrid for a £90 million move. Manager Ruben Amorim has firmly shut down the rumors, making it clear that Fernandes is staying at United.
“No, it’s not going to happen,” Amorim stated. “We want to win the Premier League again, and we need our best players to stay. Bruno is one of them.”
Since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2020, Fernandes has scored 95 goals in 277 appearances. With his contract running until 2027, Amorim emphasized that the midfielder remains a crucial part of the squad.
“He’s still at the top of his game, playing 55 matches a season and contributing over 30 goals and assists. He is happy here, and we are in control of the situation,” Amorim added.
Manchester United fans can breathe a sigh of relief—Fernandes is not leaving any time soon.
