BTS' Suga Set to Complete Social Service This Week; BigHit Urges Fans to Avoid Discharge Site

BTS member Suga is just days away from completing his mandatory social service, and BigHit Music has issued a statement addressing fans ahead of the big moment. Shared via the fan platform Weverse, the agency confirmed that no public events will be held to mark his discharge.

No Celebrations Planned for Discharge Day

Although BigHit Music refrained from confirming an exact date, several reports suggest Suga will officially complete his alternative military duty on June 21, 2025. He began serving as a social work personnel—a form of military service available to those with medical conditions—on September 22, 2023, due to his previous shoulder injury.

In its message, BigHit Music stated:

“SUGA is close to completing his service as a Social Work Personnel and will soon be discharged. No special events are planned on the day of SUGA’s discharge.”

Fans Advised Not to Gather at the Site

With safety as a priority, the label has made a heartfelt request to BTS ARMY, urging fans to refrain from visiting the discharge site.

“Overcrowding can pose safety risks, and we sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts.”

The agency added its appreciation for the constant support from fans and reaffirmed its commitment to Suga and the rest of BTS.

The Road to Reunion

With Suga’s return, BTS inches closer to a full group reunion after more than two and a half years. Jin, the eldest member, completed his service in June 2024, while J-Hope followed in October 2024. The remaining four—RM, Jimin, V (Taehyung), and Jungkook—were discharged just last week.

The excitement among fans is palpable. Just recently, all seven members were seen together at J-Hope’s concert in Seoul, marking a symbolic prelude to their long-awaited comeback. While only Jin and Jungkook joined him on stage, the presence of the full lineup stirred emotions and anticipation for what’s to come.

As the world waits for Suga’s official return, fans are encouraged to show their love from afar—and prepare for BTS’ next chapter.
