A Buddha Air flight from Tribhuvan Airport to Bhadrapur, Jhapa, was diverted back to Kathmandu due to a technical issue.

According to Buddha Air, flight number 953, call sign 9N-AJS, encountered a problem with its right engine. The pilot decided to divert the aircraft back to Kathmandu.

The flight had already completed half its journey when it was returned. The plane landed safely at Tribhuvan Airport at 11:15 AM. A technical team is currently inspecting the aircraft, and passengers are being arranged to travel to Bhadrapur on another plane.

The flight, which took off from Kathmandu at 10:38 AM, triggered an emergency alert at Tribhuvan Airport, leading to the temporary holding of other flights, according to airport sources.
