A bus traveling from Kathmandu to Bamti Bhandar of Umakunda Rural Municipality in Ramechhap met with an accident on the BP Highway at Daunne, Roshi Rural Municipality-9, Kavre.
The bus, with the number plate Province 3-01-006 Kha 1339, slipped off the road around 8:30 in the morning and fell into a bamboo grove. According to Inspector Krishna Giri of the Mangaltar Area Police Office, 11 people were injured in the accident.
Among the injured, one person is in serious condition. All the injured are being treated at the Primary Health Center in Mangaltar.
Inspector Giri also said that a Hiace van (Me 1 Kha 3394), which was coming to Kathmandu from Khandbari, collided with the bus after it slipped. Fortunately, the passengers of the Hiace are safe.
The bus driver is currently in police custody at the Mangaltar Area Police Office.
