A bus accident occurred near Churiyamai Temple on the East-West Highway in Bara.
A passenger bus (Ba 5 Kha 4073) from Narayangadh, Chitwan, to Birgunj, Parsa, collided with a scooter and fell into a roadside drain.
According to Bara Police spokesperson Bijayraj Pandit, all bus passengers were safe, but the scooter rider was injured and had been sent to the hospital for treatment.
As soon as the accident was reported, a police team led by Senior Assistant Inspector Tek Bahadur Karki was deployed from Amlekhgunj.
