The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has classified and set the salaries for the national men’s and women’s cricket teams for 2025.
Players under the central contract will have a six-month agreement (from January to June). Based on their performance during this period, the classification will be revised for the remaining six months.
A total of 33 male players will receive monthly salaries ranging from NPR 25,000 to NPR 100,000. Meanwhile, 19 female players will receive salaries between NPR 20,000 and NPR 50,000. There are five grades for male players and four for female players.
In the men’s category, players in Grade ‘A’ who will receive a monthly salary of NPR 100,000 include captain Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, and Aasif Sheikh. Those in Grade ‘B’ earning NPR 70,000 per month include Kushal Bhurtel, Gulshan Jha, Karan KC, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, and Anil Sah.
Similarly, players in Grade ‘C’ will receive a monthly salary of NPR 55,000. This category includes Sandeep Jora, Arif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki, and Kushal Malla.
In Grade ‘D’, players will earn NPR 35,000 per month. The players in this category are Sagar Dhakal, Lokesh Bam, Shahab Alam, Akash Chand, Bivek Yadav, Surya Tamang, Rijan Dhakal, Dev Khanal, Basir Ahmed, Pratis GC, Abinash Bohara, and Mayan Yadav.
Additionally, one player from each of the seven provinces has been designated as an Emerging Player and will receive a monthly salary of NPR 25,000. The Emerging Players are Dipesh Kandel (Koshi), Rupesh Kumar Singh (Madhesh), Shubha Kansakar (Bagmati), Arjun Kumal (Gandaki), Santosh Yadav (Lumbini), Arjun Gharti (Karnali), and Hemant Dhami (Sudurpaschim).
Women’s Team Salary Structure:
In Grade ‘A’, Captain Indu Barma, Puja Mahato, Rubina Chhetri, and Sita Rana Magar will earn NPR 50,000 per month.
Grade ‘B’ consists of only one player, Kabita Joshi, who will receive NPR 35,000.
Players in Grade ‘C’, earning NPR 25,000 per month, include Kabita Kunwar and Samjhana Khadka.
In Grade ‘D’, 12 players will receive a monthly salary of NPR 20,000. This category includes Bindu Rawal, Alisa Kumari Yadav, Manisha Kumari Upadhyay, Sana Pravin, Riya Sharma, Simana KC, Krishma Gurung, Sabitri Dhami, Roma Thapa, Ishwori Bista, Jyotsnika Marasini, and Rachana Kumari Chaudhary.
