A serious road accident in Chitwan has taken the life of a car driver. The crash occurred early morning at Jyamire Chowk, under Khairhani Municipality-2, along the East-West Highway.
According to Chitwan District Police, 42-year-old Pradeep Timilsina, a resident of Khairhani-8, died in the accident. He was driving an EV car with license plate Bagmati Province 01-030 Cha 1157.
The car collided with a bus coming from Udayapur heading towards Kathmandu. The bus, with license plate Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 7023, hit the car at around 1:45 AM.
Timilsina was seriously injured and rushed to New Medical College, Bharatpur. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead at 3:05 AM.
Police have taken the bus driver into custody for further investigation.
