Fans of FBI: Most Wanted are saying goodbye for good, as CBS has officially canceled the crime drama after its sixth season. Despite the show’s loyal following and strong performances from stars like Dylan McDermott, Roxy Sternberg, and Keisha Castle-Hughes, the network has opted not to renew it for a seventh season.
The cancellation comes alongside the end of another franchise installment, FBI: International, which concludes with its fourth season. While the original FBI series received a major renewal back in 2024—securing three more seasons at once—the two spin-offs weren’t so fortunate.
Why Was FBI: Most Wanted Canceled?
The decision to axe FBI: Most Wanted stems largely from underwhelming ratings. According to RadioTimes, CBS opted to discontinue both spin-offs to make way for a new addition to the franchise: CIA. This upcoming series will star Lucifer alum Tom Ellis and is expected to bring fresh energy to the lineup.
Though the news is disheartening for fans, the cast and crew have been bidding farewell in heartfelt posts across social media. Showrunner David Hudgins shared a behind-the-scenes group photo with the caption, “That’s a wrap on #fbimostwantedcbs. Thank you amazing cast & crew.”
Actor Edwin Hodge also posted a moving tribute on Instagram, reflecting on his time with the series:
“All good things must come to an end. I’m filled with so much abundance and appreciation for this prodigious cast and crew… The crew showed up every day to add their magic to make the show a hit. I’ll hit you with some new gigs this year.”
Shantel VanSanten, who played Nina Chase, offered a bittersweet goodbye, saying she would miss the “cherry blossoms”—a touching nickname for her co-stars—who brightened her days on set.
Though FBI: Most Wanted has reached the end of the road, its impact—and the memories shared among cast, crew, and fans—will continue to linger long after the final credits roll.
